Studying at the London School of Economics
I spent a year thinking, reading, and talking about geopolitical theory with a focus on American statecraft at the London School of Economics and Political Science for graduate school and loved every minute of it.
Living in the heart of London and walking to campus from my flat on Lloyd Baker Street, as I remember it, satisfied my sense of wanderlust, and the rigors of a graduate-level program in international relations fueled my curiosity about making theoretical sense of the world, and more specifically, about America's role in the world.
At the London School of Economics, I took courses on International Politics, US Grand Strategy, and Empire & Conflict. And while adjusting to the British higher education system was quite a steep learning curve, in November 2017, I graduated with a master's degree in international relations with merit honors.
